As followers of Junior Hockey, it’s always great to see the future endeavours of the players we had the privilege to watch. What makes this even easier is when some of these grads are pursuing their professional hockey dreams here in the city we began watching them.

Cody Ceci Drafted 15th Overall By Ottawa Senators

The NHL's annual Entry Draft brings dreams to life for several teenaged hockey players who finally get the chance to pull on an NHL sweater. Tonight, a player that we've had the privilege to watch for the past three seasons had his name called. One way or another, Cody Ceci will be playing next season at Scotiabank Place, as he was drafted 15th overall by the Ottawa Senators.

Cataractes Memorial Cup Win - A Feel Good Story & Shades of '99

The Shawinigan Cataractes, the only inaugural QMJHL franchise still running (they were formerly known as the Bruins and Dynamo), won their first championship in their 43-year history with a 2-1 overtime win over the OHL Champion London Knights. The Cats were a feel-good story, but perhaps very few fanbases see the joy in it to the extent that many of us do here in Ottawa.

67's Bid Official Farewell to Zanetti, Foglia; Acquire Wilson from Brampton

Fans of the Ottawa 67's had a lot of news to digest on the first day of June, from a one-for-one player trade, to a deal that saw us swapping draft picks, to learning the next stage in the career of this past year's Captain.
