67's edge Fronts 5-4 in shootout victory
Joseph Blandisi scored in the third round of the shootout to lift the Ottawa 67's to a 5-4 victory over the Kingston Frontenacs Friday night snapping Ottawa's 6-game losing skid.
Coming off a disappointing 11-1 loss against the London Knights yesterday, the 67's jumped out to a commanding 3-goal lead early in the second period. Sean Callahan got the ball rolling with his second goal of the year 3:41 into the opening frame Midway through the first period, Nevin Guy's quick wrist shot beat goaltender Mike Morrison glove side.

Clint Windsor made 47 saves, but it wasn’t enough as the Guelph Storm skated to an easy 6-0 win over the hometown Ottawa 67’s. It was Tanner Richard and Scott Kosmachuk who stole the show each tallying 3 points in front of a crowd of 5,228.

The Revolving Door of Goaltenders in 2012-13
While previewing the 2012-13 season back in August, I had assumed that the Ottawa 67’s would attempt to let Michael Nishi and Keegan Wilson share the crease throughout the year. Not only was that proven wrong very early, a recent turn of events had those two goalies fighting for a spot once again, although this time not a starter’s position, nor a position in the Nation’s Capital.
The 10-Fight Rule; How Has It Affected the 67's?
At the start of the 2012-13 season, the Ontario Hockey League made a controversial decision to limit fights. After ten fights from one combatant, not counting fights instigated by others, suspensions would start to be handed out, and the team would be punished if a player continually fought after reaching ten.

Greyhounds Now-Healthy Defence Shuts Down 67's
On a day where Canada’s National Junior under-20 team was eliminated by the USA, the Ottawa 67’s lost a nearly identical game by a score of 4-1 to Sault Ste. Marie. Similar to the Canada-USA morning game, Ottawa allowed the first four goals of the game before getting on the board.
