I...Certainly we all have concerns about next year. I agree about building from the goal out...Morrison is not likely to return and I'm not convinced he's worth an OA spot even if he had plans to come back. And Flueler is not ready for the number 1 spot. It's clear that teams that go deep are riding strong goal tending.

We also will have lots of holes on the blue line. It will be interesting to see what, if anything, Killer does in the off season for trades 'cause we can't draft for what we need next year.

Thanks for taking the time to comment.Valeriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02006609260916901784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7967350.post-51451995252315086892007-04-12T15:56:00.000-04:002007-04-12T15:56:00.000-04:00Anyone who saw this team at any stage of the seaso...Anyone who saw this team at any stage of the season knew that a deep playoff run was not in the cards. No grit, no goaltending = a short stay in the post-season. The lack of character on this team, and the underwhelming performance of many veterans, is what did them in.

My concern is for 07-08, and whether this is going to get better. This wasn't sold to the fans as a rebuilding year, so clearly Killer significantly overestimated the talent he had. What I would like to hear from him is the plan for next year, starting from the goal out. I hate to hang it all on the goalies, but the sad fact is that unless you can get consistently strong goaltending, your team is going to struggle. Neither of the two kids who were here this year are the answer for next year, that's for sure.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
