First is Peterborough, the only team in the Eastern Conference to have secured a play-off spot at this point, with 76 points. They’ve been on a run lately, winning 6 straight, and 5 of these games were against divisional rivals: Kingston, Oshawa, and Belleville.
Second is Brampton with 72 PTS and 3 straight wins.
Third is Mississauga with 69 PTS and no streaks – one previous win.
Fourth is Barrie with 68 PTS and a three game winning streak. (And hopefully this streak will come to an end tonight whey they play Ottawa.)
Fifth is Sudbury with 64 PTS, with no streaks – just one previous loss.
Sixth is Ottawa with 63 PTS. And as we all know, they’re on a 3 game losing streak.
Seventh is Belleville with 62 PTS, also with no streaks – just one previous loss.
Eighth is Toronto with 61 PTS and a 2 game losing streak.
And finally, ninth is Kingston with 57 PTS, and similar to Ottawa a 3 game losing streak.
Oshawa is not a factor in this season’s play-off race. They have a measly 30 PTS on the season. And they are on an 11 – yes, 11 – game losing streak. Yikes!
