Season Ticket Pickup NIght - One Step Closer to the Start of the Season!

The Ottawa 67's annual season ticket package pickup was held last night and there was a good turnout for the meal and introduction of this season's team.

A.J. Jakube from the Team1200 and the game-day voice of the Ottawa 67's was the evening's emcee and introduced the 2013-2014 edition of team and management.

Here are you Ottawa 67's for 2013-14.  Missing the event were Dante Salituro (under the weather) and Sean Monahan and Joseph Blandisi (at their respective NHL camps).

In his address to the audience, Chris Byrne reiterated that while this is still a young team they expect to work hard to improve and push for a playoff spot.  With the Landsdown project still on schedule, the target remains to be a very strong team when they hit the ice in their renovated facilities for the 2014-15 season.

As the first overall pick the OHL, Travis continues to draw specific attention by the media.  This will likely be the case all season.

The Ottawa 67's Booster Club was there for new and renewing members.  This small group of energetic people are dedicated to providing a valuable link between the fans and the players.  The money they raise goes back to the players in the form of gifts and performance rewards.  They also host two banquets a season with the fans and the players - the Christmas Banquet and one just before the end of the regular season.

Once the ceremonies were concluded, fans lined up to get autographs.  Fans, players and management are all ready for the season to start.  See you at the Canadian Tire Centre next Friday for the first game of the season!
