Tyler Back by the Weekend?

Tyler Cuma, the Wild's 2008 first-round pick, logged 22 minutes Tuesday and will earn a third exhibition game tonight. But he still will be returned to his junior team, Ottawa, barring major injuries to Wild blue liners.

The Wild is full on the blue line, and the Wild is not going to ask an 18-year-old to defend against top NHL power forwards who reside in the Northwest, such as Jarome Iginla, Erik Cole and Ryan Smyth.

I am really pleased that he's having a great camp but I have to agree that it might be a tad early for him to be playing defense in the NHL full-time. He has learned plenty and it will be great to see him apply it here at home. Soon.

We should see Logan back soon too. The Sharks only have two pre-season games left (Thursday and Sunday) and they will likely spend time looking at players that still have a chance to stick. Logan has been a scratch for the last two games and I can't see him getting anymore ice time in the next two. It would be best if they returned him with enough time to recover from the time-zone difference and get some practice in with the 67s before Friday' s game.
