With losses to Windsor at home and Oshawa and Mississauga on the road last weekend, the Ottawa 67's were dropped from the CHL Mastercard 10 top teams in the country. They also may be without the services of Travis Gibbons who was injured on a very questionable hit in Oshawa that not only went without a penalty, it appears that the league did not subsequently review it. So much for taking dangerous head hits out of the game.
The game in Mississauga on Sunday also saw the end of Tyler Toffoli's scoring streak.
So the boys have a lot to play for tonight. Hopefully Ryan Martindale will be sufficiently recovered from the flu earlier this week. If not, the already short bench will have some serious work cut out for them.
Shane Prince was added to the CHL/NHL Prospects game at the ACC in Toronto on Wednesday and scored the only goal for Team Cherry. Post game reviews indicate that his performance improved his standing in eyes of scouts.
