Four days ago, Mark Petaccio was opening the scoring at Scotiabank Place for his Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds en route to a 4-1 win over the Ottawa 67's. Today, he becomes the newest member of the Barberpoles.
The 67's made another deal on Tuesday afternoon, this time in buy mode instead of selling. They send a 2013 9th round draft choice to The Soo in the deal.
Petaccio comes to his third OHL team, joining fellow New Jersey native Taylor Davis and becoming the 10th 1994-born member of this rebuilding 67's squad.
His goal against Ottawa was his third of the season. In just under three years in the OHL, Petaccio has 20 points and 115 penalty minutes in 120 games.
