Welcome To Ottawa, Chris Hulit

Well, it's done. Tsimikalis has been traded to Oshawa, in exchange for Chris Hulit. The official 67s press release:

The Ottawa 67’s have obtained 19 year old, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario native Chris Hulit from the Oshawa Generals in exchange for Peter Tsimikalis.

Hulit is a right winger listed at 6’01” and 190 lbs., he will be joining the Ottawa 67’s in time for Friday night’s game vs. Toronto St. Mike’s. “Chris Hulit is an experienced right winger who will fit right in and help our hockey club,” Brian Kilrea stated after finishing the deal.

Peter Tsimikalis was at home in Aurora, Ontario awaiting a trade after failing to resolve differences with Kilrea.

I'm happy that we will get to see Peter play --- being in Oshawa we'll see him quite a bit. I wish him all the best.

AJ had a few things to say about Hulit on The TEAM 1200/Dean and Gord: [paraphrasing] Good trade. Hulit works hard. May not be as flashy as some, but he definitely fills a role. He's not a natural goal scorer; he has to work hard for goals. He comes to the 67s with 12 goals, which makes him the second highest goal scorer on the team. Possibly fit on the top two lines. [/paraphrasing]

Hulit was the Oshawa player who was stoned on the penalty shot against Battachio the other night. That's great!

His stats so far this year with the Gens: GP-25 G-12 A-12 PTS-24 PIM-28. Last year, his stats were: GP-67 G-19 A-23 PTS-42 PIM-32. A little bit about Chris from his Oshawa Generals profile (link):
