Will We See Them In Ottawa?

Two new players are demanding trades: Tyler Donati-OSH and Rob Hisey-ERI (as reported on The TEAM 1200 20/20 updates).

DONATI GOES HOME

The Oshawa Generals have lost their leading scorer, Tyler Donati, who has gone home to Oakville to await a trade.

"He and the coach (Bob McGill) have not been a good fit," Generals GM Brad Selwood said. "(Donati) has requested a move. He gave us three teams -- Mississauga, Guelph and Kitchener -- and Guelph has already said they are not interested. Whoever gets him is going to pay for him."

Donati has 26 points in 25 games. His twin brother, Justin, also plays for the Gens but has been out of the lineup with an injury.

On Hisey (link):

The Erie Otters' already struggling offense took a significant hit Tuesday.

Rob Hisey officially left the club, taking his 46 goals and 130 points over the past two seasons with him. The overage center arrived at Tullio Arena on Tuesday afternoon to collect his belongings from the dressing room. Then he "walked out the door," coach Dave MacQueen said. Later in the day, Hisey left Erie for his home in Oakville, Ontario, said his father, Mark Hisey.

Mark Hisey referred all questions to Rob Hisey. Multiple attempts to reach him were unsuccessful.

The reasons behind Hisey's departure weren't immediately clear. Club officials and Hisey's agent, Todd Reynolds of Uptown Sports Management in Burlington, Ontario, declined to comment since they had not spoken to Hisey as of Tuesday evening. But a source within junior hockey said Hisey already had requested a trade.

Otters center Geoff Platt said he wasn't surprised over Hisey's decision. Hisey had said things that "made it evident that he didn't want to be a part of the Erie Otters," Platt said
